Teide Volcano

Pico de Teide (28.3N, 16.6W) is the third largest volcano on Earth. Elevation at the summit of the volcano is 12,188.3 feet (3,715 m). Teide has erupted only once in the 20th Century, in 1909, but is considered a potentially threatening volcano due to its proximity to the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The summit crater of Teide contains lava flows of various ages and roughnesses.
